Everything’s a decision. So I started with a simple binary: a black card or a white one. From a distance, this installation reads as a smooth gradient. Up close, it’s a different story. Embedded in the wall of the Palo Alto Public Safety Building, where the work is meant to acknowledge the split-second, life-or-death decisions made by first responders.
